Job Advert Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and responsible individual to assist our Heavy Vehicle Drivers and Construction Plant Operators. This role is central to daily logistics, vehicle maintenance, and site operations. The successful candidate will ensure that equipment, vehicles, and workspaces are maintained to high standards, enabling our teams to perform their duties safely and efficiently. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic operational environment within a critical national infrastructure entity.
Minimum Requirements:
· Educational Qualification: Grade 12 or N3 certificate.
· Licensure: A valid driver’s license. Possession of a Code 10 or Code 14 driver’s license is mandatory.
· Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar operational or logistics support environment.

Primary Duties:
· Logistics Support: Safely load, offload, and transport equipment and materials as required for daily operations.
· Vehicle Maintenance: Perform thorough cleaning and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles to ensure they are operational and presentable.
· Site Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and order in the yard, depot, and work areas, adhering to organizational standards.
· Operational Assistance: Provide direct support to drivers and plant operators with their daily tasks, including pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
· General Duties: Execute a variety of ad-hoc tasks as directed by supervisors to facilitate smooth workflow across the depot.
Required Knowledge:
· A foundational understanding of rigging and slinging principles for safe load handling.
· Essential awareness of occupational health and safety (OHS) protocols in a depot or industrial setting.
· Familiarity with tie-down equipment and securement techniques for cargo.
Essential Skills:
· Communication: Ability to follow instructions clearly and interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
· Customer Service: A helpful and cooperative attitude when interacting with internal teams and stakeholders.
· Attention to Detail: Vigilance in performing tasks such as vehicle checks, cleaning, and load securing to prevent errors and ensure safety.
