Position Overview:
An exciting entry-level opportunity exists for a meticulous and proactive Payroll Administrator at our Robertsville branch. This role is central to the smooth financial operations of our field personnel, requiring a candidate who thrives on accuracy and enjoys a structured, fast-paced administrative environment. You will be the linchpin in ensuring our security officers are compensated accurately and on time, working closely with Branch Managers, Operations teams, and reporting directly to dedicated Payroll Managers. This position is ideal for a vibrant, detail-oriented individual ready to launch their administrative career within a supportive yet demanding corporate structure.
Minimum Requirements:
· A Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is mandatory.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) is essential, with advanced competency in Microsoft Excel being highly advantageous.
· Prior experience with SAP payroll systems will be a significant strong point.
· Demonstrable strong administrative and organizational capabilities.
· A high level of numerical accuracy and a methodical approach to tasks.
· Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
· The ability to interact professionally with personnel across all organizational levels.
· Proven self-management skills: ability to work autonomously, under pressure, and meet strict, recurring deadlines.
· Reliable own transport is a requirement for this role.
Key Performance Areas:
Your core responsibility will be to administer payroll processes with unwavering accuracy. Key duties include:
· Maintaining impeccable organization and timely updates of all route files and booking records on a daily basis.
· Resolving posting sheet queries efficiently within a strict 48-hour window, escalating unresolved issues promptly to management.
· Proactively obtaining and updating company numbers for relevant bookings, ensuring follow-up within 24 hours.
· Meticulously processing and validating all posted information, including drawing clear red lines through voided entries with proper managerial sign-off.
· Addressing all employee pay queries on the day of receipt, providing clear feedback along with necessary memo and order numbers.
· Executing daily courtesy calls to managers and sites to ensure seamless data flow and submission of posting sheets.
· Preparing and submitting accurate time books for all employees under your purview.
· Ensuring precise calculation of pay rate changes and the correct capture of all statutory and third-party deductions such as garnishee and maintenance orders.
· Conducting thorough back-checks on route files to guarantee data integrity before payroll finalization.
