Job Summary

Minimum Requirements

· Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification

· A minimum of 1 to 3 years of verifiable experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory control environment
Core Responsibilities
The Assistant Stores Operator will perform a range of logistical and administrative duties aimed at maintaining accurate inventory control and supporting the operational needs of the City of Ekurhuleni. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other stock items before and after dispatch across the City of Ekurhuleni
· Ensuring all completed work complies with relevant governance, legislative, and regulatory requirements
· Adhering to specified standards, policies, and standard operating procedures to minimize wastage of financial resources
· Identifying and escalating associated risks in a timely manner
· Contributing to a positive and ethical workplace culture that supports exceptional customer service and professional conduct
· Serving as a role model in building rewarding relationships and maintaining integrity in all store operations
