Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Claims Clerk to strengthen our Insurance Administration department. In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of our claims processing operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service to all stakeholders. You will handle a variety of administrative tasks critical to the seamless management of insurance claims, from initial capture to final resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
· Claims Processing: Ensure all received claims are promptly printed, captured, and processed without delay.
· Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and investigate unknown faxes or incomplete documentation by utilizing all available tools and channels to find accurate solutions.
· Data Accuracy: Guarantee 100% correct capture of all information, with meticulous attention to policy numbers. Initiate traces for policy numbers when they are not supplied.
· File Management: Maintain and update all client files and correspondence systematically, ensuring an organized and accessible records system.
· Quality Control: Monitor all outgoing correspondence to clients for absolute accuracy and professionalism.
· Stakeholder Communication: Attend to all telephonic queries from clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders immediately and courteously.
· Training & Support: Provide essential training and ongoing assistance to branch staff regarding the use of the ECSS system.
· Follow-Up: Proactively send emails and make calls to branches to request outstanding documentation as soon as it is identified.
· System Support: Report any technical problems or challenges experienced by branches on the ECSS system directly to the ICT department.
· Information Provision: Deliver correct, clear, and concise information both orally and in writing to all involved parties.
· Professional Protocol: Strictly adhere to company protocols and apply excellent telephone and written communication etiquette in every interaction.
Requirements:
· Education: Grade 12 / Matric certificate is essential.
· Experience: 1-2 years of solid administration experience is required. A background in insurance or financial services will be a significant advantage.
· Skills:
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Problem-solving mindset and initiative.
