Purpose of the Position
The purpose of this role is to drive sales, minimize stock losses, manage inventory, assist customers, operate the cash register, and uphold a low-cost culture that helps the business achieve its objectives. As a Deals Assistant, you will be the face of the store, ensuring every customer leaves satisfied while contributing to a positive and productive team environment. Key Responsibilities
Maintain a positive and safe store environment by following all security and cash handling procedures to reduce losses. Operate the cash register accurately and keep the store tidy and well-organized at all times. Work efficiently and cost-effectively alongside a collaborative team of Fireballs. Engage with customers warmly, suggest additional products, and ensure a high-quality shopping experience. Address customer queries and complaints professionally while informing them about current promotions and special deals. Demonstrate deep product knowledge and help customers find exactly what they need. Greet and assist customers immediately upon entry. Meet and exceed sales targets while staying updated on new products and promotions. Assist with stock ordering and create visually appealing store displays. Receive, admit, organize, and manage incoming deliveries. Process payments correctly using the cash register and ensure customer satisfaction at checkout. Stay informed about changes to products, features, and store promotions.
Minimum Requirements
Matric certificate is essential. Previous experience in a cashier, customer service, sales, general worker, general assistant, store assistant, store associate, or retail role is required. Must be proficient in English. Must reside within 15 kilometers of the store location. Must have a clear criminal record. Honesty and integrity are non-negotiable, particularly when handling cash and financial transactions.
Preferred Requirements
South African citizenship or valid work authorization. A genuine passion for retail and delivering world-class customer experiences. Candidates between the ages of 25 and 33 are preferred but not strictly required.
