Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Picker Packer to become an integral part of our Kempton Park warehouse team. In this crucial operational role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders, ensuring that our premium seeds reach clients in perfect condition. This position is ideal for an individual who takes pride in precision, thrives in a structured environment, and values being part of a collaborative team in the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities:
· Execute precise picking and packing of seed products according to customer order specifications.
· Accurately transfer completed orders to the designated checking and holding area.
· Verify all seed reference numbers during the picking process; promptly report any discrepancies or incorrect labels to the Stock Controller.
· Monitor stock levels and immediately inform the Stock Controller of any shortages or out-of-stock items, following provided instructions.
· Conduct quality checks on all items, ensuring they are clean, saleable, and meet stringent company standards for packaging, labelling, and overall presentation.
· Maintain a consistently clean, organised, and safe work area, adhering to all housekeeping protocols.
· Collaborate with team members, offering assistance with tasks once core responsibilities are completed.
· Support inventory control processes by assisting with scheduled bi-annual stock counts and ad-hoc checks as directed.
· Uphold all security measures to protect company assets, products, and facility integrity.
· Provide secondary support to the front office by assisting with walk-in customer enquiries and basic invoicing processes as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
· Education: Grade 12 / Matric certificate (essential).
· Qualification: A Warehousing, Logistics, or similar diploma/certificate is highly advantageous.
· Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a general worker, packer, or similar operational role within a warehousing, distribution, or production environment.
· Skills & Attributes:
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong numerical and basic administrative skills.
· Ability to follow standard operating procedures meticulously.
· Good physical stamina for tasks involving standing, lifting, and moving goods.
· Honest, reliable, and a strong team player.
· Effective communication skills to report issues clearly.
· Basic computer literacy for managing order systems is beneficial.
